The much anticipated film ‘War 2’ on August 14, 2025 had its theatrical release marking a huge success. The third day’s box office collection has made a historical point as it has beaten the collection of other 2025 Bollywood films including Sikandar.
Over the three days, War 2 reportedly has made INR 135.53 crore approximately. And, the collections of Sikandar was INR 110 crore. These values significantly reveal how well the film is doing in India.
Considering the records, it has come to notice that on the day of release, the film earned INR 52 crore. While, on Day 2, there was an increase seen with direct 10%, making IINR 57.35 crore.
As per the reports, the film had earned INR 16 crore before its release through advance bookings. Such an overwhelming response by the audience led to early predictions that the film may have a great opening, it even had.
The film reportedly was also released in the Telugu dubbed version, and has given a tough competition to the hindi version by having a great box office collection.

Where the film is doing great in terms of collection, at the same point, people give mixed views on the storyline of the film. There have been both negative and positive comments about it.
After the film’s release, it became the talk of twitter and people using their account shared the reviews. One of the netizens through its ‘X’ account, wrote, “Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic. One of the worst film ever made in the history of Indian Cinema.”
While another user appreciated the story, the action and asked the public to not fall for negative reviews. “Don’t fall for online negativity & movie is very good. Action and Emotion balanced,” mentioned the user.

War 2 is an action thriller starring Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, NT Rama Rao and Kiara. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films.
The story of the film revolves around a conflict between two former colleagues Kabir aka Hrithik Roshan and Vikram aka Jr. NTR. One is accused of betraying India while the other is given responsibility to bring justice to the accused. The twist arrives when there comes Kiara as Kavya.
