News is circulating around of a Pakistan origin doctor who left the surgery midway to have sex with a nurse. The incident allegedly happened on September 16, 2025 at Tameside General Hospital, Great Manchester, UK.
The doctor is identified as Suhail Anjum who was overseeing 5 surgeries and the incident happened during the third surgery.
While he was in third surgery, he asked a patient to look after the patient so he could take a comfort break. While he took that, a surprising twist came around. Instead of taking any rest, went to another operation theatre and had sex with another nurse.
Meanwhile, one of the staff members walked in the room and eyewitnessed them in a compromising position. The staff member noted that the nurse’s trouser was around her knees and underwear was exposed, while Dr. Anjum was tying up his trousers.
Reports reveal that while such happened, it had been 8 minutes since the doctor was away from the patient. There were concerns about the risk as the patient was under anesthesia. However, reports demonstrated no complication.
What did the Doctor say on this?
Giving his stance on the matter, the doctor admitted who he did. He agreed that it was a serious misconduct.
He stated that the decision was taken as he was under personal stress. He mentioned, his youngest daughter was born prematurely and his wife had a traumatic delivery. He directly claimed that such a decision was taken under the strain of home life.
He further described this incident as a “one-off error of judgement” and expressed shame. As well, he demonstrated his wish to resume medical practice in the UK.
Recent Development
Dr. Anjum in February 2024 left Tameside Hospital, now reportedly working in Pakistan. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) is considering the case. The decisions are still unclear whether MPTS will allow the doctor to practise in the UK or the penalties will be imposed.
