Gutka Sahib Pages found Scattered in Jalandhar, Sikh Organisations stage Protest

Bagher Singh, who was at the incident spot mentioned that he was attending a Kirtan Darbar when he received a phone call informing him that sacred parts of the Gutka Sahib were scattered across an empty plot.

A major case of sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has come into notice from the Mithu Basti area of Jalandhar. It has been reported that the sacred parts of the Gutka Sahib scattered in an empty plot in Raja Garden. This area notably comes under Basti Bawa Khel.

Following the incident, the Sikh Organisationas and locals have shown extreme anger towards the ones who have done such. People and the organisations blocked Kapurthala Chowk and protested vigorously and gave the police administration an ultimatum to arrest the accused by 4 pm.

Shortly after getting the information about the incident, the police officials from Basti Bawa Khel police station including ACP Aatish Bhatia reached the spot and sealed the area.

The investigations has been initiated. The officials are examining the CCTV cameras installed around the plot so the accused can be identified.

Upon receiving the information, he rushed to the scene and collected the sacred parts in bag.

At the same time, the members of Sikh Coordination Committee stated that the protests would continue until the accused are not held and punished. The protestors as well raised slogans against the police administration.
