Several of the areas in Amritsar have completely vanished where major loss has been reported. Villagers are facing its major hit; their crops, homes and villages have submerged in the rising water levels.

A video is surfacing on the internet for Ajnala, Amritsar that has gone viral in hours. In the video, the locals are seen hugging her with much respect for the work she has continuously been doing during these hard times.

An aged man said, “he has not seen such a woman ever.” He added, “May every officer be like her.” Her relentless actions in rescue operations have proved what humanity actually is.

Rise in the water levels in Ravi River are flooding villages in Ajnala city of Amritsar. Many of the villages have completely vanished. Residents are stressed as their homes and thousands of acres of crops have submerged. Such a loss is impossible to bear.



Continuous rains have made the conditions deadly in the areas. The entire Punjab has joined hands in the support of victims. Many Singers including Diljit Dosanjh, Sunanda Sharma, Ranjit Bawa, Gippy Grewal, Nimrat Khaira and many others have raised the funds for the relief operations.
