A shocking incident has come ahead from Ludhiana where about six armed men on Saturday night around 11 pm entered and attacked the house of Sukhwinder Singh Chhinda who is AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) Leader.
He resides at Lehra village, and is also an anti-drug whistleblower. After the men entered, they fired gunshots at the main gate and set his car on fire. Before committing all such stuff, they threatened Chhinda’s family.
Men reportedly fled from the spot after spreading the chaos around. And, the complaint has been registered against them from yesterday night only. It is said that the case has been registered against a local villager named Manak.. Also, the complaint is filed against Manak’s supporters.
Following the incident and registered complaint, Dehlon police initiated the probe. As per the results of search operation only, Manak’s name has come ahead. SHO Sukhjinder Singh and ACP Harjinder Singh Gill are leading the operations.
Though the investigations are still underway and the police are yet to find out the actual reason behind such an incident, Chhinda, who is also the president of Pohir Truth Union has given a statement.
In his statement, he allegedly accused the attackers, saying that they attacked his house for speaking out against drug peddlers after the AAP led Government, under the administration of CM Bhagwant Mann launched the Anti-Drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh.”
Highlighting the cause of the incident, Chinnda firmly stated that he is a close associate of Gill legislator Jiwan Singh Sangowal. And he would not stop the fight against the drug menace at any cost.
