Jawanda’s funeral will take place at Kothey Pona Village at 11 am on Thursday. This is the singer’s native village, located near Jagraon, Ludhiana.

Popular Punjabi Singer- Actor Rajvir Jawanda today on Wednesday (October 08, 2025) passed away after battling for survival for several days. He took his last breath at 10:55 am at Fortis Hospital, Mohali where his treatment was going.
The news of his death was announced by the Director of the Hospital, Abhijit Singh.
Notably, Jawanda’s funeral will take place at Kothey Pona Village at 11 am on Thursday. This is the singer’s native village, located near Jagraon, Ludhiana.
After Jawanda’s death was announced, his dead body was taken to the singer’s residence in Sector 71, Mohali. Thereafter, it was sent to the Panchula Civil Hospital for the postmortem examination, further will be sent to his native village.
The entire nation is mourning after Jawanda’s death where his tragic death has left the people of his village Pona in shock.
As per the sources, before the information of his death spread over the social media, the community of his village was heading over to the Gurudwara to perform the Bhog of the Path of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Political Leaders, Celebrities and Fans pay condolence
Political Leaders including Raja Warring, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Manish Sisodia expressed grief at the tragic demise of Rajvir Jawanda. Amrinder Singh Raja Warring while taking it his ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter account shared a post, wrote-
“May Waheguru grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to his loved ones to bear this tragic loss.”
MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu while sharing the condolences wrote, “This is a heartbreaking moment for the entire Punjabi music industry, as we have lost a shining star and the true pride of Punjab. May Waheguru ji grant eternal peace to the departed soul.”
One of the fans while expressing the grief recalled Jawanda’s song about mothers, he wrote-
“Life is crazy. A couple years ago, Rajvir Jawanda sang a Song about Mothers and their sons who leave this world too early at the young agr. RIP to a great young talent of Punjab.”
