A heartbreaking tragedy on Saturday (October 18, 2025) has come ahead from Mansa. This tragic incident took the lives of two sisters.
Reportedly, Punjab Roadways bus which is state transportation ran over three school going children and their father in Mansa’s Jhuneer town. Two killed have been identified as sisters, and lost their lives on the spot.
As per the reports, deceased sisters’ father and brother are critically injured. The deceased sisters Seema kaur was 8 years old and Meena Kaur was 15 years old. Shortly after the incident was brought to the notice of authorities, police officials reached the spot.
Thereafter, the bodies of the deceased were sent for the post mortem. At the same time, police officials seized the Punjab Roadways bus and arrested the bus driver. Authorities have stated that investigations are underway.
Public Responds to the Accident
After the information of the incident got spread around, locals have expressed grief over the tragedy and have extended the demand for strict action. Local residents as well accused the authorities, has demanded strict traffic safety measures.
