Bones are calcified and connective tissues. There are two types of organisms namely vertebrates and invertebrates. Bones are the part of the vertebrate body. Invertebrates do not have any bones. Every human body consists of these rigid connective tissues. 

The care of bones is a very important aspect of daily life. It is very important to know what should be avoided and what should be taken to protect this integral support structure. 

Food Items to Avoid for Better Bone Health

  • Carbonated Drinks: Carbonated or soft drinks are rich in phosphorus and the high levels of phosphorus can hamper bone health. It reduces the Density of minerals and soft drinks restrict calcium absorption which disrupts the strength of bones. 
  • Salt: This is a daily used substance  in every household. Direct or salt in vegetables doesn’t interfere with bone health but when it comes to high salted processed food, it becomes the enemy for bones. It imbalances the minerals and lack of minerals to start to pour the bones and lead to weakening of bones. 
  • Sugar: High sugar leads to bone inflammation and can also lead to hampering bone density. High sugar weakens the bones and can interfere with bone health. 
  • Caffeine: When too much caffeine is consumed, the excretion increases. Caffeine disrupts calcium balance and also the more than needed caffeine leads to flushing of calcium by urine. 
  • Alcohol: The over consumption leads to bone deficiency and even osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a disease in which the bone density and mass decreases.

  • Sunlight: The major and vital source of Vitamin D is sunlight. Vitamin D leads to better bone health. One should always take sunlight . By sunlight the meaning is to take the first rays of sun to support the bone density. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium.
  • Balanced Diet: What we consume can also consume us. It is very important to take care of the diet. Avoid caffeine, sugar, over salt, white rice and include green leafy vegetables to avoid any mobility problems. 
  • Maintain Good Posture: Good posture is the key for a positive body. One must perform weight bearing exercises and practice positive posture activities for long life mobility.
