Jalandhar: Sarovar’s Kar Sewa Begins at Sri Devi Talab Mandir After Eight Years

The event began with the chanting of Hanuman Chalisa, following which the governor officially launched the Sarovar cleaning initiative.

The Sarowar’s Kar Sewa at Jalandhar Sri Devi Talab Mandir commenced on November 7, 2025. The program was inaugurated by Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. The Hanuman Chalisa was chanted previously.

Prior to this, the Kar Sewa occurred in 2016. This signifies that the Sarovar’s Kar Swea is occurring after an interval of 8 years.

Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Nitin Kohli, Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge, visited Sri Devi Talab Mandir to participate in the Kar Sewa.

Other significant dignitaries who took part in the Kar Sewa included Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, AAP Punjab President Shri Aman Arora, Jalandhar Mayor Shri Vaneet Dhir, Cabinet Minister Harmeet Singh Khudian, Madam Rajvinder Kaur Thiara, among others.

The Sant Samaj made a special visit and bestowed blessings upon the devotees. 

Arrangements for the Kar Seva had been in progress at a rapid pace for several days. The Management Committee of Sri Devi Talab Temple has committed to offering every possible assistance to the visiting worshippers.

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria stated, “Regardless of our expertise, divine guidance is what directs us.” “Everything is unattainable without the blessings of God.”

He mentioned, “Devi Talab is also a source of energy for us.”
