Social media is busted with the Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and Music composer-director Palash Muchhal’s wedding news. And, this has now been postponed due to the cricketer’s father’s illness.
As per the reports, Smriti’s father has been admitted to the hospital.
Her manager reportedly said that the cricketer did not want her wedding ceremonies to be held at the time of a medical emergency in the family. While narrating the situation, the manager added that everybody was having breakfast and suddenly father Shriniwas started feeling unwell.
He mentioned that they all waited for a while to see if he gets better. However, things worsened in a very short time. And, everybody decided to take him to the hospital.
An ambulance was called, and he was taken to the hospital. He is under observation now.
“We all know how close Smriti is with her father. So, Smriti planned to postpone the marriage until her father gets better,” mentioned the manager.
“He is under observation. The doctors have recommended keeping him in the hospital for now and are running a variety of tests.”
“We’re in shock. We hope he feels better soon, because this is a big occasion for all of us.”
On November 23, the cricketer, Smriti Mandhana, is set to marry in a private ceremony with only close friends and family members present. The pre-wedding celebrations were already happening for the past couple of days.
As the wedding approaches, many of Smriti Mandhana’s teammates – including Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, Shafali Verma, Arundhati Reddy, Shivali Shinde and Richa Ghosh – gathered to celebrate with her.
A video of Smriti laughing and dancing with her teammates during the Haldi ceremony became very popular, showcasing the festive and celebratory spirit of the moment.
Smriti shared her engagement to music composer Palash Muchhal through a playful Instagram reel, showcasing her dance with her India teammates to the popular “Samjho Ho Hi Gaya” track from Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). Jemimah, Shreyanka, Radha, and Arundhati also participated in the dance, which served as a joyous engagement announcement.
The following day, Palash shared an emotional proposal video from DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai — the very location where India claimed victory in the Women’s World Cup. Smriti, with her eyes covered and taken to the center of the field, was astonished when Palash knelt down and asked her to marry him.
