A small girl has been the victim of rape and murder. Law enforcement agencies seem to conceal the matter.

The unbelievable incident of Jalandhar West has left all the people deeply shocked and infuriated. The corpse of a 13-year-old girl was unearthed in the neighbor’s restroom at Paras Estate, placed close to the Leather Complex in Jalandhar West on Saturday night.

This event caused a stir since the police official who was sent to the house to look for the body said the girl was not there not to mention that he came out of the house. But, in the end, not only was the life of the dead girl confirmed but the body was found in the bathroom in the same house.

On the evening of Monday, the former Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi made a visit to the family of the victim from Jalandhar West and expressed his concern that if the demands remain unfulfilled then he along with the Congress party would adopt the path of agitation that would comprise of road blockades and shutdown of shops.

Jalandhar West Case Update

Channi told the reporters about the incident. “It is extremely unfortunate that such an event has happened. A small girl has been the victim of rape and murder. Law enforcement agencies seem to conceal the matter. The police officials have even warned the family members not to speak against them.

Rather, the police officials entered the premises (the house of the accused) for a minimum of 45 minutes but after coming outside they insisted that the girl was not there at any time. Nevertheless, the mother of the girl saw her entering the house through the CCTV footage and she never came out.”

The previous Chief Minister Channi has pressed the Punjab DGP and Jalandhar CP (Commissioner of Police) to act against the policemen who supposedly tried to cloak the case. They must be discharged with immediate effect and an FIR should be filed against them.

He further mentioned that if there is no action taken, he will take on an agitation leading to the closure of Jalandhar, roads being blocked, and shops being shut down.
