One Dead, Several Injured in Explosion at Ludhiana’s Ajit Cycle Factory

The foreman of the factory, 60-year-old Rajit Ram Verma, was working at the time of the incident and died as a result of the explosion.

An explosion and a fire broke out on Saturday evening at Ajit Cycle Factory, a factory located in Ludhiana’s Industrial Area-B. The explosion caused injuries to several workers and resulted in one fatality. The foreman of the factory, 60-year-old Rajit Ram Verma, was working at the time of the incident and died as a result of the explosion.

Emergency services, including the police and fire brigade, arrived at the scene, with ACP Satwinder Singh assessing the situation. The fire began at approximately 7:30 PM, immediately followed by the explosion that led to Verma’s death.

Firefighters worked to put out the fire, which was spreading rapidly. Both the police and fire brigade are currently looking into the cause of the fire and explosion.
