Police confirms rape claims made by a 25-year-old woman against 81-year-old Dr Ram Kumar Bindal, the elder sibling of BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal.

The police in Solan have verified that a forensic report from the Junga forensic science laboratory corroborates the rape claims made by a 25-year-old woman against 81-year-old Dr Ram Kumar Bindal, the elder sibling of BJP state president Dr Rajeev Bindal.
The purported event took place on October 7 at the suspect’s clinic in Solan. The forensic examination has verified that saliva samples collected from the victim’s body correspond to those of Dr. Ram Kumar Bindal, stated Solan SP Gaurav Singh.
The police have already filed the challan with the court. Investigators discovered that the accused conducted a medical examination of the victim without a female assistant, breaching standard procedures.
The authorities asserted that Dr. Ram Kumar Bindal tried to eliminate evidence by ripping a page from the clinic register where the woman’s name was allegedly noted. CCTV footage referenced by the investigators displayed the woman leaving the clinic clearly upset and in tears after spending a considerable amount of time inside on the day of the incident.
The BJP has labeled the case a “deceptive act driven by political motives.” Dr. Bindal, a vaidya specializing in traditional ayurvedic medicine, was apprehended on October 10 after receiving a complaint from the woman near Solan’s old bus stand. He was charged under sections 64 (rape) and 68 (sexual misconduct by an authority figure) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
