A 30 year old man from Goraya, Punjab lost his life in the Russia-Ukraine war. The deceased has been identified as Mandeep Kumar.
According to the information received, Mandeep Kumar was duped by travel agents and was forcibly recruited into the Russian Army. Despite having a congenital limb disability, he was forced to sign a military contract and was sent to war front.
The family reportedly received his mortal remains today at 1:00 pm from Indira Gandhi International Airport. Thereafter, the family took his body to Jalandhar for final rites. The family is in the grievance.
The deceased had been living in Russia for some time. He was in the search of better opportunities. However, fell in the prey of travel agents and their fake promises.
