In another shocking incident, firing has been reported outside Vardaan Hospital in Jalandhar’s Mota Singh Nagar. The incident took place at around 9:45 pm on Saturday.
Reports by Police officials claim that the assailants were on bike, wearing helmets and fired two to three rounds outside the hospital. Soon after the matter reached to police, senior officials reached the spot and secured the area. The investigations are underway to identify the attackers.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police have ensured of the resolving of the case soon. The CCTV footages of nearby areas are being checked so the culprits can be identified.
While mentioning about the incident, DCP noted that the doctor received no extortion call or any kind threat before the incident.
Rising count of such cases have raised the security concerns among the people of city. This was the second firing incident reported in Jalandhar in 24 hours. On an intervening night of Thursday and Friday, 10 bullets were reportedly fired outside the house of Vet. Yashpal in Santokhpura area.
