Gurpreet Ghuggi responds to Viral Rumors over relationship with Love Gill, calls it Paid Propaganda

Ghuggi claimed, his research found that certain companies and pages were paid to create and promote “disgusting memes” to increase their reach.

Renowned Punjabi actor Gurpreet Ghuggi and young actress Love Gill have addressed the “character assassination” campaign targeting them on social media. The controversy involves baseless rumors of a Rs 5 crore settlement following alleged personal relations.

Love Gill’s Emotional Breakdown

In an interview, actress Love Gill denied all allegations, emphasizing the severe financial and emotional toll the rumors have taken on her.

Gill revealed that far from having Rs 5 crore, she struggled to pay her rent three months ago and her car is still on monthly installments. She expressed deep distress over the “filthy” nature of the accusations, stating that her family is devastated.

She clarified that Ghuggi is a senior figure to her, comparing her age to his daughter’s, and noted they have not even met since their film wrap.

Gurpreet Ghuggi’s Firm Stance

Gurpreet Ghuggi, a veteran with a 35-year unblemished career, slammed the “paid propaganda” used to tarnish his image. Ghuggi claimed, his research found that certain companies and pages were paid to create and promote “disgusting memes” to increase their reach.

He noted that many youngsters who shared the content have since sent him screenshots and apologies, admitting they did it for “paid promotion” or reach. Ghuggi compared social media trolls to a car splashing mud on a pedestrian, stating he initially ignored it but decided to speak out when the “water crossed the head.”

Legal Action Initiated

The actors are not taking the matter lightly and have moved towards legal recourse. A formal report has been filed with the Punjab Police Cyber Crime Branch to identify the originators of the hate agenda.

Ghuggi further stated they are prepared to move to court to protect their self-respect and the dignity of the industry. He concluded by urging social media users to think about the impact of their posts on families and future generations.

“You might do it for views today, but remember, the same cycle of character assassination could target your own family tomorrow,” he warned.
