At least four people have died and one other is reported missing after a cloudburst triggered flash floods in the Rajgad area of Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir, the District Administration said on Saturday.
A rescue operation is underway, the Ramban District Administration added.
“Three people have died due to heavy rains and flash floods in the Rajgad area of Ramban. Two people are reported missing, and a rescue operation is going on,” the Administration said in an earlier statement.
Later, officials confirmed another casualty, taking the death toll in Ramban cloudburst to four.

Meanwhile, in a tragic incident, seven members of a family were killed after their house collapsed in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. The family believed to have been sleeping when the incident took place at around 3 am on Saturday.
They remained buried under the debris for around 4 hours before rescue teams extracted their bodies.
Jammu and Kashmir has been reeling under heavy rains, witnessing widespread damage with multiple incidents of cloudburst-triggered flash floods and landslides.
Earlier this month, more than 60 people were killed and over 100 others were injured after a cloudburst struck Chashoti village in Kishtwar.
Moreover, 75 others went missing after flash floods triggered by the cloudburst swept away houses in the area. As per locals many were buried under giant boulders, wooden logs and rubble.
As many as 35 people were also killed in a landslide on the Vaishno Devi Yatra route in Reasi district.
Another 7 people, including 5 children, were killed in a cloudburst on 17 August in the Kathua district. At least 7 others were washed away in flash floods at different places in Jammu and Kashmir.
