Dark circles is the black or dark color skin around the eyes. Dark circles are the most annoying situation especially for the youngsters. These occur in different colors like brown, black or darker shades depending upon their natural skin tones. 

Dark circles lead to underconfidence, making the person look older than the real age. It ruins the overall personality of an individual. 

Common causes of Dark Circles

There is no specific medical reason behind the occurrence of these, it does not really require any medical emergency. It can affect people of any age, any sex. The skin under the eyes is sensitive and weak so the minor strain can lead to a huge hamper. The causes associated with the Daily Lives are:

● Fatigue: The most common and at very high percentage, the cause of dark circles is fatigue and tiredness. 

● Lack of sleep: When an individual does not take at least 7-8 hours of sleep, it increases the probability of such a cause. 

● Excessive Screening: Direct contact of light with the skin leads to dark circles

● Hyper Pigmentation: In some cases, hormonal imbalance or sun exposure causes the hyper pigmentation,leading to dark skin under eyes. 

● Dehydration: Less intake of water affects the under eye area of eyes. 

● Lifestyle Factors: Diet, alcohol, spicy, salty, oily food or substances, hampered sleep cycle are the lifestyle factors that spoils the under eye area and causes dark circles.

Remedy 1

● Take two potatoes

● Grate these potatoes in a bowl

● Squeeze the juice of grated potatoes

● Chill the juice in a refrigerator

How to Apply: Take a cotton pad, soak with the juice extracted and apply the pads on your eyes. Relax for about 20-25 minutes. Remove the cotton pads after the clock ticks off and avoid screening or direct exposure to the Sun at least for about 1 hour. 

Remedy 2

● Take two green tea bags

● Dip it in water and take them out

● Place the dipped tea bags in the refrigerator and let it cool. 

● Once chilled, take it out

How to Apply: Place the tea bags directly on closed eyes and relax. Remove after 15- 20 mins. Don’t let the eyes take any strain after that and it should be done directly before sleeping. 

Remedy 3

● Pick a nutmeg

● On a rubbing board, drizzle four, five drops of almond oil and rub nutmeg on it 

● Rub till a paste like structure forms 

How to Apply: Take paste on finger and apply beneath the eyes, perform this before going to bed and sleep after applying the nutmeg paste. In these hours, eyes will absorb the paste and will help in naturally brightening the under eye skin, it should be repeated straight for 15 days at least. 

Remedy 4

● Take aloe vera gel in a bowl

● Add oil from Vitamin E capsule

● Now ,Mix well both the ingredients

How to Apply: Apply this gel on the under eye area straight before sleeping and let it absorb overnight.
