The meeting between both of them reportedly lasted for around 30 minutes. However, the subject of it has not been yet disclosed.

Dera Beas Chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon on Tuesday visited Nabha Jail to meet SAD (Shiromani Akali Dal) Leader, Bikram Singh Majithia. While Chief Dhillon paid a visit, the security preparations at the jail were strengthened.
The meeting between both of them reportedly lasted for around 30 minutes. However, the subject of it has not been yet disclosed. Coming from the jail, Dera Beas Chief addressed his devotees who were waiting for him outside the jail premises.
Heading from the jail, Dera Head left for Hira Mahal, where he met the family members of the royal family, Nabha.
Notably, today’s visit to Dera Head has raised the speculations in the political and religious state of Punjab as the visit of several senior SAD leaders was denied by the jail administration.
As per the reports, Daljit Singh Cheema, Sikandar Singh Maluka, Mahesh Inder Grewal, and Virsa Singh Valhotra were denied the visit. And, the reason for such denial was highlighted as “only the family members are allowed to meet.”
SAD Leader Bikram Singh Majithia was arrested on June 25 having alleged charges of disproportionate assets, for laundering INR 540 crore of “drug money.” The Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested Majithia.
After the investigations were held, the authorities revealed that over 540 crores have been laundered through several of the ways. Till the time, there had come major developments in the case where Majitihia even asked for a bail plea. However, it has been denied.
Previous Year charges on Majithia
In 2021, under Congress administration, Majithia was booked under NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances). Following this, he spent over five months in Patiala Jail, was granted bail in August 2022. Punjab and Haryana High Court granted him bail.
Notably the 2021 charges were laid on the basis of 2018 reports of the anti-drug Special Task Force. And, 2025’s charges are followed by the 2021 case on him.
