One of the people who went online is an Australian traveler whose name is Duncan McNaught. He captured the internet space with his online post where he assisted in the rescue of a cow. The cow was stuck inside a dry roadside drain in India. He made the incident known on Instagram, posting a short video that showed the animal trapped and struggling to move.
In the recording, McNaught reassured onlookers as he walked to the scene, saying, “No, he just fell in. We’re gonna rescue. Let’s go. Oh, the sacred cow in India is stranded. It’s okay, buddy.”
The video recorded his first try to carry the cow by himself. An on-screen note he put later explained: “I was not powerful enough, she was heavy 2 people should do the job.” A different guy came to help, and together they were able to remove the creature from the drain.
In the final part of the clip, McNaught made light of a tiny cut on his hand, merely stating “scrape[d] my finger up.”
The post rapidly went viral on social media and was widely commended for his deed. One remark stated, “What a beautiful act of kindness, you restored my faith in humanity today.” Another noted, “Not everyone would stop and help like this, much respect.”
