While DGP addressed the media, he highlighted that Punjab Police has done great to ensure public safety, recently dismantled 26 terror modules and arrested 88 people connected to such networks.

Continuing his words, he revealed that the flood situations in Punjab have increased the cross border smuggling of drugs and weapons in India from Pakistan.

Notably, the Police officials with the supporting BSF in the recent weeks have stopped several trafficking attempts.

He further mentioned that recently Pakistan based anti-national elements are also sending small weapons and smuggling goods. Reportedly, 78 pistols have been recovered in recent periods.
