After Flood Fury, Punjab Likely to See Showers from October 4 Onwards 

IMD has issued an advisory stating that dry conditions in state will only be until October 3.

Punjab got the severe flood hit this monsoon, where many of the areas got devastated highlighting huge loss to the Punjab state residents. Although, the Punjab is under relief now, the threats are looming in the hearts of residents.

Where the monsoon withdrawal brought relief, the IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has issued an advisory stating that the dry conditions in the state will only be until October 3. And, from October 4 to 6, there are the chances of rainfall.

What are the expected changes in the Weather Conditions ?

As per the Meteorological Weather Advisory, some areas are likely to have light rain on October 4 whereas on October 5 and 6, rainfall activity is likely to increase across the most parts of Punjab.

With this, there as well have been seen fluctuations in the temperatures. The average maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 35 degree celcius which is 0.4 degrees below the normal. 

Notably, Bathinda reported the highest maximum temperature at 37.5 degree celsius.

According to the information received from the Indian Meteorological Department, such changes expected to come are due to the pressure system that is forcing over Arabian Sea. This may bring changes to the wind patterns, leading towards the changes in weather conditions.

Significantly, the weather conditions are expected to change from October 3. However, there is yet no major weather disturbance expected in the state.

The authorities as well have advised the farmers to keep close check on the weather advisories for the harvest of Kharif crops for the upcoming sowing season.
