After going into effect on October 1, the revised fee list for Aadhar update services will be in effect until September 30, 2028.

The costs for the Aadhaar updating service have been updated by the Unique Identification Department of India (UIDAI). According to the department, some Aadhar card modifications will be free, while others will incur the highest costs.
Charges for modifications pertaining to documents, biometrics, and demographics, for example, have increased. Updates to biometrics, which are necessary for kids beyond a certain age, will continue to be free.
After going into effect on October 1, the revised fee list for Aadhar update services will be in effect until September 30, 2028, at which point it will be reviewed again the following month.
Aadhar Update New Fees: Review Service-Specific List Of New Prices
● Updating information on the Aadhaar card will now be more expensive since the UIDAI has adjusted the pricing for services, except for updates to a child’s Aadhaar card, which will remain free. Here is the Updated Price List-
● In case of Demographic modifications (name, address, date of birth, mobile number, email), a person wanting to update their demographic information in Aadhaar will now need to pay Rs 75 for the service, which is a rise of 25 rupees from the previous fee of Rs 50. If the demographic changes coincide with biometric updates, then no additional fees will be required.
● Biometric updates (fingerprint, iris scan, or photo): According to the updated rate list for Aadhar update services, effective until 2028, Aadhar centres will now charge Rs 125 instead of the previous Rs 100.
● For the Document updates (identity/address verification), it is complimentary on the myAadhaar portal until June 14, 2026, but charges Rs 75 at enrolment centres, an increase from the previous Rs 50.
● Rs 40 for printouts using eKYC or other methods during the initial phase (October 2025-September 2028), rising to Rs 50 in the subsequent phase (October 2028-September 2031).
Aadhaar Biometric Update Fees For Minors
● The initial required biometric update for children aged 5-7 and teenagers aged 15-17 is complimentary.
● Biometric updates for children between 7-15 generally cost Rs 125, but they are free until September 30, 2026. The adjustment in the new Aadhar update service fee has been made to promote prompt updates.
New Aadhar Update Fees: Residential Enrollment Cost
● Rs 700 (including GST) for one resident.
● Each extra resident at the same address is billed Rs 350.
