Trump, White House Slam Nobel Peace Prize Decision as ‘Political’

Trump announced a ceasefire and hostage agreement to stop the battle in Gaza only this week, and he has run a vigorous campaign for the award.

The White House expressed disapproval of the Nobel medal committee’s choice to present the peace medal to a Venezuelan opposition leader rather than US President Donald Trump on Friday.

“President Trump will keep negotiating peace agreements, putting an end to conflicts, and saving lives. In a post on X, White House spokesperson Steven Cheung stated, “He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will.”

“The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.” Maria Corina Machado of Venezuela was given the yearly prize by the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which cited “courageous defenders of freedom who rise and resist” authoritarian authority.

Trump thanks Putin for support as Nobel Peace Prize goes to Venezuelan opposition leader

Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, was commended by US President Donald Trump for emphasizing his efforts to resolve international conflicts. Russia supported US President Donald Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize candidacy on Friday. Moscow reportedly stated that it values Trump’s efforts to halt the bloodshed in Ukraine just hours before the winners were announced.

Trump expressed gratitude for the Russian president on Truth Social. He uploaded a video of the Russian president saying that Trump “solves complex issues, crises that last decades” and remarked, “Thank you to President Putin!”

Trump has made a strong campaign for the award in recent months.

Melania Trump, the first lady of the United States, lauded Russian President Vladimir Putin and claimed that he had replied favorably to her “peace letter” expressing her willingness to help those impacted by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Melania Trump also said that eight Ukrainian children have been reunited with their families within the last day, amid continuous attempts to bring families affected by the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine back together.

“In the last 24 hours, eight children have been reunited with their families,” the First Lady told reporters at the White House. The prolonged conflict with Russia has resulted in the displacement of these youngsters.

“The essence of a kid is not bound by boundaries or flags. Since I wrote to President Putin in August of last year, a lot has happened. He wrote back, indicating that he would like to speak with me directly and providing information about the Ukrainian youngsters living in Russia. Since then, President Putin and I have been able to communicate openly about these children’s welfare,” the First Lady stated.
