Punjab to soon launch E-Learning platform to teach Punjabi, GNDU leads project

The plans regarding AI assisted digital e-learning platform for Punjabi explain that there will be high-quality interactive video lessons.

In the era of technology, Punjab is developing steadfastly, and has initiated the development of fully AI assisted digital e-learning platform for Punjabi. 

Such a decision has come with an aim to modernize the ways of teaching Punjabi to the students in the state. With the usage of e-platforms, it is said that teaching would become more engaging, accessible and effective for the students.

The plans regarding AI assisted digital e-learning platform for Punjabi explain that there will be high-quality interactive video lessons. These lessons will be of 12 to 15 minutes each. Such will make the total of 25 to 30 instruction hours.

Under its curriculum, there will be Gurmukhi script, essential vocabulary, basic grammar, pronunciation, sentence formation and everyday communication. In each of the modules, there will be knowledge checks, quiz, pronunciation practice and downloadable worksheets included.

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) leads the Project 

As per the sources, Punjab’s renowned Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) is leading such an effort. The university is responsibly spearheading the initiative. It already has begun the process of engaging a firm to design and produce AI-enabled e-;earning content.

This will create a digital infrastructure for teaching Punjabi in an interactive format. 

Notably, the content under this will be produced in Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and English. Such will be prepared using high quality standards of audio visuals. GNDU reportedly is establishing a Learning Management System (LMS) which is integrated with the mobile applications (iOS and Android) and browser-based web platform.
