Harjinder Singh Dhami Re-Elected SGPC President for Fifth Consecutive Term

Harjinder Singh Dhami received 117 votes, and Mithu Singh Kahneke received 18 votes, while one vote was declared invalid.

For the fifth consecutive term and the 2025-26 session, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has been re-elected as the President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

In the election conducted on Monday, the total number of polled votes was 136. Harjinder Singh Dhami received 117 votes, and Mithu Singh Kahneke received 18 votes, while one vote was declared invalid.

In addition to Dhami’s re-election, several other important office-bearers were elected.

Raghujit Singh Virk was chosen as the senior vice president, Baldev Singh Kalyan as the junior vice president, and Sher Singh Mandwala as the general secretary.

The SGPC revealed the names of the interim committee members, which consist of Surjit Singh Garhi, Surjit Singh Tugalwala, Surjit Singh Kang, Gurpreet Singh Jhabbar, Diljeet Singh Bhindar, Harjinder Kaur, Baldev Singh Kaimpuri, Major Singh Dhillon, Mangwinder Singh Khaparkhedi, Jungbahadur Singh Rai, and Mithu Singh Kahneke.
