CM stated that the North Pitampura station (under construction) located in QU Block will now be known as North Pitampura–Prashant Vihar.

The government of Delhi, under the leadership of Rekha Gupta, has given the green light for the new names of three stations on the Phase 4 metro network. It has informed that an existing station and two stations will be given names more reflective of the localities in which they are located.
While addressing the Kalash Yatra in Haiderpur, Rekha Gupta has mentioned that the Pitampura Metro Station on the Red Line will now be known as Madhuban Chowk as it is a prominent junction it serves. This station will serve as a major interchange for Railways when the RK Puram–Janakpuri stretch of the Magenta Line under Phase 4 becomes operational.
She also stated that the North Pitampura station (under construction) located in QU Block will now be known as North Pitampura–Prashant Vihar, and also that the proposed Pitampura North station has been now officially renamed as Haiderpur Village. Both of these stations are on the proposed RK Puram–Janakpuri corridor, expected to become operational next year.
The DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is building around 12 km of new metro lines in Phase 4.
Construction is now taking place along two important corridors, RK Ashram Marg–Janakpuri West and Aerocity–Tughlakabad, while construction is still progressing on the extension of the Pink Line Majlis Park–Maujpur. Three other corridors passed last year have not moved from pre-construction to construction.
By the renaming request of the Centre and the Haryana government, the very frequented HUDA City Centre station in Gurugram was renamed in 2023 the Millennium City Centre. Officials stated that all name changes must go through same vetting process within the State Names Authority for approval.
