Police Check Sparks Heated Verbal Exchange at Jalandhar Railway Station

Woman requested man to stop the camera. But, as the man declined to obey her, she reacted with anger and a verbal dispute arose between the two.

An intense exchange of words ensued between an unidentified woman and an unidentified man on November 5, 2023, while conducting vehicle checking in Jalandhar. The sequence of events unfolded when the police staff, who were on duty to check vehicles, enacted the operation at railway station Jalandhar.

During the course of the check, while a police officer was verifying her vehicle documents, a man began filming the ensued scenario. After she noticed this, the woman requested him to stop the camera. But, as the man declined to obey her, she reacted with anger and a verbal dispute arose between the two.

While disputing the woman, he was listening to her saying “You don’t know me, my uncle is a DSP.” On this, the guy retorted, “Irrespective of who your kin is, the law is impartial for all, and all the vehicles will be examined.”

During this time, a GRP police officer who was also inside a vehicle, was seen making an effort to counsel the woman into the car. The lady claimed that the peace officer recognized her, but the police maintained to carry on with the checkpoint. The two bickered for nearly 10 minutes, which eventually resulted in a crowd at the area.

The woman in the video is questioning the necessity of checking the car, ‘What is the reason for car checking?’

In the meantime, the man is telling the police officer to check the car, ‘Sir, please inspect the vehicle.’

She again says, ‘What reasons do we have? Are we trafficking illegal goods?’

At the time of the man filimg it, the woman turns and asks ‘who authorized you to go live?’

The man retorts, ‘I have no duty of asking anyone, you are at the station.’

‘I’ll be in any place you tell me, just switch the camera off’ – she replied.
