Sonu Sood Urges Passengers to Stay Calm Amid IndiGo Flight Crisis

The airline’s operational crisis results from not adapting to the new Pilot Duty/Rest Time Limits (FDTL), which became effective in November.

Sonu Sood, an actor, urged the public to behave as responsible citizens and manage their frustrations due to airline operator IndiGo’s recent operational crisis that left many stranded for hours at the airport without any confirmation regarding their flights.

The airline’s operational crisis results from not adapting to the new Pilot Duty/Rest Time Limits (FDTL), which became effective in November.

The airline’s negligence resulted in a significant shortage of pilots, widespread cancellations of flights and considerable delays, leading to DGCA action being taken and passengers experiencing chaos earlier in the week.

Sood posted a video on X on Saturday. The actor mentioned that his family also experienced a problem with their flight being delayed for more than four hours.

My family was on a trip and needed to wait for 4 to 4.5 hours. Numerous flights were grounded, several were called off, and many individuals were unable to go to weddings. Meetings were called off, events were called off. Yet the most tragic part is the way people are yelling at the ground crew at the airports,” he is heard stating in the video.

The 52-year-old actor mentioned that multiple videos have been spreading online depicting individuals yelling at the airport ground staff.

“As responsible citizens, it’s very important for us to make sure that we do not react to them because they are helpless and they do not have any answers. Please try to stay calm. Control your anger and respect them,” he added.

“A delayed flight is frustrating, but remember the faces trying to fix it. Please be nice and humble to the IndiGo staff; they are carrying the weight of cancellations too. Let’s support them. @IndiGo6E,” he wrote in the caption.
