Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro arrested in US Operation, brought to New York

Maduro and his spouse, Cilia Flores, were apprehended in a sudden early-morning raid by US special forces in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.

A recent video has surfaced featuring Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro being escorted by officers from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) within the agency’s New York headquarters on Saturday.

Maduro and his spouse, Cilia Flores, were apprehended in a sudden early-morning raid by US special forces in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. Reports indicate that the pair was resting at their residence within the secure Ft Tiuna military facility when the operation took place.

The official rapid response account of the White House, known as Rapid Response 47, posted a video on X depicting Maduro being escorted through the DEA office in lower Manhattan. In the footage, the 63-year-old leader is in handcuffs, dressed in a dark hoodie, and strolling down a corridor labeled “DEA NYD.”

He can be heard wishing “good night” and “Happy New Year” to those around him.

Another clip captures Maduro’s arrival in the United States. He was initially transported to a US military base on Saturday night and subsequently relocated to New York City.

Maduro and his spouse face accusations of narco-terrorism, trafficking substantial quantities of cocaine into the US, and holding illegal firearms.

From the DEA office, Maduro was transported to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, the same facility where rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs was incarcerated during his trial last year.

The US conducted an initiative termed “Operation Absolute Resolve” to apprehend Maduro. Elite US forces, such as the Army’s Delta Force, took approximately 30 minutes to capture him.

Reports indicate that Maduro attempted to flee to a fortified safe room but was apprehended. The US reported that no American troops lost their lives during the operation.
