President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Jalandhar on January 16. In view of her visit, the district administration has put strict security arrangements in place.
Additional District Magistrate Amninder Kaur has issued orders declaring the entire Jalandhar district a no-flying zone from January 14 to January 16. During this period, the operation of all civilian drones, remotely piloted aircraft systems, and helicopters has been completely banned.
The administration clarified that the restriction applies only to civilian aircraft. Helicopters and aircraft used by the President and other VVIP guests will be exempt from the ban.
Officials said the decision has been taken to ensure the safety and security of the President during her visit.
