A developed country is a country that is technologically advanced and has high national income. Those countries which have higher Gross Domestic Products (GDP) or Gross National Product (GNP) are considered to be developed countries. A developing country is one which progresses towards achieving the growth so as to give the same standard of living to its citizens.
Elements of development include (i) Increase in real income per capita (ii) education achievement and assurance of basic human rights.

- Man thinks himself a superior entity with endless hunger for power, prosperity and prestige. Forgetting his harmonious relationship with nature he used his intellect over power and conquer it. Industrial and urbanization are important factors of economical development.

The main purpose of development has been reduced to the development of things and not that of man. This attitude has threatened the very existence of man on earth. Due to man’s neglect attitude about 50% of land becomes infertile.
