In a significant development, Mohali is set to host the country’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) tower, attracting around 300 AI-focused companies from both India and abroad. According to reports, all the legal requirements have been fulfilled, and it is expected that not just software, but additional AI-related products will also be created here.

This brings significant optimism and is expected to bolster Punjab’s start-ups. It is said that this multi-crore AI tower will be constructed in ‘Expo City’ close to Chandigarh International Airport. This ‘Expo City’ is under development on 183.5 acres of property.

According to reports, the project is suggested to be on land owned by the villages of Rudka, Dharamgarh, Shafipur, and Ladiali. A senior joint committee of officials has been entrusted with the duty to manage the operations.

According to reports, notifications for Section 4 and Section 6 were released on Friday, while the Section 11 notification is expected to be issued in the next month or two, after which all transactions will be banned in the Expo City region.

This project is expected to bring numerous new opportunities to Punjab. The AI Tower and Expo City initiative will generate numerous jobs and prospects for the people of Punjab.

Engineers, data scientists, software developers, research analysts, cybersecurity specialists, as well as the hospitality, transportation, retail, and maintenance industries will greatly gain from this.

The Punjab government mentions that this will lessen youth migration and offer them international opportunities in their own region.

GMADA has announced a specific land pooling policy for the Expo City initiative. Landowners whose property will be taken will receive 800 square yards of commercial space (SCO) in Expo City for each acre. This will grant landowners direct financial advantages from the high-end commercial center.
