Two Killed, Two Injured as Car Falls Into Gorge in Uttarakand’s Nainital

Upon watching the accident, earning out the screams of people and sounds of falling car, locals gathered at the scene and informed the police about the same.

A deadly car accident in Uttarakhand’s Nainital district took two lives on Saturday. Also, another two sustained serious injuries.

As per the police officials, all the tourists who were present in the car at the time of accident were residents of Uttar Pradesh. And, the sources reveal that an accident occurred around 8:30 am near Khupi on the Jeolikot Bhowali Road.

The car was en-route to Jageshwar Dham and it suddently fell into a 300 meter deep gorge. It has been said that the driver lost his control over the vehicle which led to such a mishappening.

Upon watching the accident, earning out the screams of people and sounds of falling car, locals gathered at the scene and informed the police about the same.

Shortly, the police force, the state Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and fire department teams reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.

While media persons conversed with the police officials, it came into notice that all the four persons were rescued from the gorge and unfortunately, two if them died on the spot. The deceased reportedly have been identified as Ankit Chaudhary and Abhiraj who both were the residents of Unnao.

However, other two; Atul Dubey and Shyam were then sent to hospital in Haldwani.
