About 10 to 12 shots were fired between the police and the accused, Kulwant Singh Gopa was hit in the leg after which the police arrested him.
The police officials on Sunday (March 22, 2026) encountered the active member of Sonu Khatri Gang in the Pholriwal area of Jalandhar. The officials arrested a gangster named Kulwant Singh Gopa, who is said to be a resident of Nawanshahr.
As per the information, about 10 to 12 shots were fired between the police and the accused. During the firing, Kulwant Singh Gopa was hit in the leg, after which the police arrested him. The police have also recovered two pistols and a motorcycle from the accused.
The police is investigating the matter so the further information is yet to be released.
