Reportedly, doctors have indicated that there is minimal hope remaining since his body has suffered significant harm from drugs.

A distressing event has emerged from the Pandori area in Sultanpur Lodhi within Kapurthala, prompting significant concerns regarding the actual situation behind the government’s assertions of a “war against drugs” in Punjab.
In the Pandori area, a mother has already lost four out of her five sons to drug addiction over recent years, and now her remaining son is also in a critical state. Reportedly, doctors have indicated that there is minimal hope remaining since his body has suffered significant harm from drugs.
The mother in grief remarked, “I had five sons, but drugs have claimed four of them, and now the fifth is also on the bed, with doctors having lost hope.” She also mentioned that for the last three days, no meals have been prepared in her home.
This is not solely one family’s narrative, as numerous other women in the region have expressed comparable anguish, with some losing two or three sons, while others report that their sole breadwinner has developed a drug addiction.
Women from the area have raised serious concerns, stating that drugs, particularly ‘chitta’ (heroin), are still being sold openly. They assert that smugglers arrive on motorcycles with their faces concealed, deliver drug packets, and depart without any apprehension. They also assert that all of this is occurring in close proximity to the police station.
Residents claim that drug addiction has severely impacted the neighborhood, with many young men selling personal belongings just to afford drugs, causing family breakdowns and worsening the local social conditions
