Herb 1: Moringa

It is best known as Moringa Oleifera. The Moringa usually grows in the foothills of Himalaya. It grows as a tree but to plant it at home, dwarf moringa plants are easily available. There are several of the benefits of Moringa-

  • It is rich in vitamin C and vitamin A , Calcium and iron. 
  • It helps maintain insulin and blood sugar levels that helps with diabetes management 
  • It reduces risk of heart stroke as it contains antioxidants, 
  • It is good for hair and digestive system. 

How to prepare


Boil 5-6 leaves in a cup of water and consume regularly. Leaves can also be dried then crushed and stored in an airtight container. But, it is more beneficial to drink after boiling the leaves as while drying most of vitamin C is lost.

Herb 2: Lemongrass

Lemongrass is a herb and a grass which belongs to the botanical family of Poeceae. It has ample benefits. It is good for everyone; only women who are pregnant and breastfeeding should avoid it. Its several of the benefits include-

  • Lemongrass is used for flavouring,
  • It is highly used to make citrus scents,
  • It is used for preparing oil that is used as massage oil,
  • It has coolant effects that relieve headache and stress, 
  • It is used for flavouring up the dishes,
  • Most people refer to it as fevergrass as it is widely known to cure fever and cold,

How to make it’s Tea

Simply boil one strand of lemongrass in one cup of water. For flavoring, honey can be added. Some people add it in normal milk tea, which does not have any side effects but at the same time, it has no specific benefits. 

Herb 3: Butterfly Pea Flower (Aparajita)

Butterfly Pea Flower, commonly known as Aparajita in India is a pot plant and also is a climber that enhances the beauty of households with its beautiful flowers. These beautiful flowers are offered to Lord Shiva as it’s sacred to him. 

The herb’s teal is called Blue Pea Tea which requires just the boiling of flowers in water. Its benefits include-

  • Its antioxidant property makes the tea so powerful to cure nausea, diarrhea and prolonged fever.
