The value of Indian rupee has slipped again even after revealing a drop to low of 88.3075 against the U.S Dollar. As per the analytical reports, this has come ahead of the U.S tariffs on Indian exports. This has sparked concerns over India’s trade balance and economic health.

Although, the interest return on bonds have demonstrated slight increase with the 10 year benchmark reaching 6.57%. Further, the notification from the authorities are awaited as after announced GST reforms, there are the chances of tax slabs reduction to 5% and 18%.

There is no doubt that the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth followed an increase of 7.8% in the first quarter of this financial year. However, the economists are raising their  concerns for new U.S. tariffs.

Indian President Murmu embarks on official tour to Mysuru

President of India, Droupadi Murmu has begun her official tour to Mysuru. She is to visit Karnataka and Tamil Nadu from September 1 to 3, 2025.

Today (September 1, 2025), she will grace her presence at the Diamond Jubilee celebrations at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) at Mysuru, Karnataka.

On September 2, President Murmu will attend the 120th foundation day celebrations of City Union Bank at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. On September 3, she will mark her presence at the 10th convocation ceremony of the Central University of Tamil Nadu at Thiruvarur.

Authorities announces School Closure ahead of Heavy rains in several parts of India

The state authorities have declared school closure for all private and public schools. The decision has come ahead of the deadly weather conditions. As heavy to extremely heavy rainfall continues, the officials are urging the public to stay indoors.

The Education Minister of Punjab, Harjot Singh Bains has announced the school closure till September 3, 2025. While in Kerala, closures are declared till September 7 and many other parts enforced till further notifications.
