69 Trains to Jammu Cancelled as Heavy Rains, Landslides Disrupt Travel

As frequent cases of landslides, thunderstorms, and disastrous downpour are reported, the Indian Railway has cancelled a total of 69 trains for Jammu until September 30.

Amid the worst weather conditions, severe parts of the country are severely affected. Among all those areas, Jammu and Kashmir is one.

As frequent cases of landslides, thunderstorms, and disastrous downpour are reported, the Indian Railway has cancelled a total of 69 trains for Jammu until September 30. Such a decision came ahead after down line damage was reported in Kathua-Madhopur, Punjab.

Such a measure has been taken considering passenger safety as priority. The authorities have extended an advice to the public to keep a regular check on the train schedules till the situations do not get to normal state.

Also, the railway department has urged the public to pause unnecessary travel so safety could be ensured. The railways has taken such a step to minimise inconvenience to passengers.

Schedule of the Cancelled trains during September

There have been a total of 69 trains cancelled including Begumpura Express from Lucknow. The detailed information and schedule of the cancelled train is as follows:

1. September 3 to 30: Patna-Jammu Tawi Archana Express (Train No. 12355)
2. September 3 to 28: Jammu Tawi-Patna Archana Express (Train No. 12356)
3. September 5 to 26: Ghazipur City-Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra Express (Train No. 14611)
4. September 4 to 25: Shrimata Vaishno Devi Katra-Ghazipur City Express (Train No. 14612)
5. September 2 to 30: Varanasi-Jammu Tawi Begumpura Express (Train No. 12237)
6.  September 2 to 30: Jammu Tawi-Varanasi Begumpura Express (Train No. 12238)
7. September 5 to 16: Howrah-Jammu Tawi Himgiri Express (Train No. 12331)
8. September 4 to 18: Jammu Tawi-Howrah Himgiri Express (Train No. 12332)
9. September 4 and 30: Amarnath Express (Train Nos. 15097, 12588, 12587, 15098)
10. September 8 to 29: Sealdah-Jammu Tawi Humsafar Express (Train No. 22317)
