A group of law students at Amity University reportedly slapped their classmate multiple times in over a minute. The incident is of August 26, 2025, however, it has sparked outrage after the video of an incident went viral.

Six suspects include Jhanvi Mishra, Ayush Yadav, Milan Banerjee, Vivek Singh and Aryaman Shukla have been booked based on the complaint
Amity Law Student Slapped by classmates, Video goes viral
The incident happened as Shikhar arrived on campus. He was with one of his friends Soumya Singh Yadav in her vehicle. As per the sources, as Shikhar reaches the campus, his friends call him to the car, saying they want to talk to him.
However, I started slapping him. Even, in the video, it is seen that they were verbally assaulting him. The video is of almost 90 seconds in which Shikhar is continuously being slapped and abused.
A female classmate, Jahnvi Mishra who was sitting at the front seat was seen slapping the victim many times. Another classmate, Ayush Yadav who was sitting next to Shikhar then verbally abused him and slapped.
The suspects even recorded the video and circulated the video around campus.
University has not yet released any formal statement on this. Shikhar’s father, Mukesh Kesarwani filed the FIR (First Information Report) against the offenders. He mentioned that he is concerned about the safety of his son.
The case was registered at Chinhat Police Station. Its in-charge, Dinesh Chandra Mishra stated that the investigations are underway. He assured that after the investigations reveal the real culprit, strict actions will be taken, so more such cases can be prevented.
