Notable quantity of Heroin, Opium and Pakistani-made Ammunition was recovered near Attari Village.

As an outcome of two coordinated operations near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar, the BSF (Border Security Force) recovered a significant amount of drug substances.
Under this, the authorities found-
- Over 7 kg of Heroin
- 3 kg of Methamphetamine (ICE)
- 290 grams of opium
- 34 live cartridges of Pakistani origin
From the both coordinated operations, one was around a village named Bhaini Rajputana. As per the reports, there was a drone which suspected such an activity. And, the notable quantity of Heroin, Opium and Pakistani-made Ammunition was recovered near Attari Village.
Following the investigations, FIR (First Information Report) was registered at Gharinda Police Station. Deeper investigations are still underway as the areas are very near and close to the international border and cross border smuggling is a very common activity.
Ahead of it, the BSF Spokesperson asserted that all these investigations are of great importance. He further stated that Pakistani terror networks are doing this ahead of the festive season, so it could be affected.
Notably, Amritsar Rural Police then informed the BSF that an FIR had been registered at Gharinda Police Station. Technical investigations are also ongoing to identify the ones behind the smuggling network.
