The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police has achieved a major milestone in its fight against organized crime by apprehending gangster Lakhwinder Singh, known as Lakha — a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi — after his deportation from the United States.
Lakha, originally from Titram village in Kaithal district, had allegedly been conducting operations from the US since 2022 under Anmol Bishnoi’s direction, according to police.
He is charged with being connected to roughly twelve incidents of extortion and shootings associated with organized crime in Haryana and Punjab.
Authorities reported that multiple FIRs were lodged against him in 2023 for blackmailing and making threats in Sonepat, Rohtak, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, and Ambala. The STF previously released a Look Out Circular in 2023 and a Red Corner Notice in 2024 to find him.
Following almost a year of partnership with both national and international agencies, the STF’s Ambala division successfully arranged for his deportation and officially detained him after fulfilling all legal formalities.
