The worker confessed that he was having difficulty focusing at work and required a few days to recuperate.

Gen Z frequently serves as a subject of conversation because of how they manage their personal and work lives. A different occurrence related to the generation has arisen after an entrepreneur from Gurgaon posted the “most truthful leave application” he has ever received on X.

Jasveer Singh, co-founder and CEO of Knot Dating in Gurugram, posted a screenshot of a leave request email, remarking, “Gen Z skips the filters!”

Describing the event, Singh stated he got an email from an employee asking for leave due to a personal matter, which is a breakup. The worker confessed that he was having difficulty focusing at work and required a few days to recuperate.

There was a screenshot of the application in which the employee wrote that he recently had a breakup, and is not able to focus on work due to which he needs a short break. He further stated that for the day, he is working from home and wants to take leave from 28th to 8th.

Such an incident has hit the internet and people on the social media are praising employee’s honesty and loyalty.

Many users inquired if Singh had given his approval for the request. The CEO replied, “Leave granted, immediately,” garnering him recognition for his supportive approach.

Other users also flocked to the comment section and expressed their opinions.

“This is completely fine.” Even better, refrain from clarifying its purpose entirely. One person quipped, “Some individuals don’t even take that many days off for their weddings,” to which Jasveer Singh responded, “However, I believe breakups demand more time off than weddings.”
