The statewide work stoppage by advocates in response to the FIR against a Muktsar lawyer caused the proceedings in the singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala murder case to be canceled today.
The Mansa Sessions Judge court postponed the issue to December 5. During the prior hearing on October 17, Balkaur Singh, the father of the victim, identified six suspects, comprising four purported killers, connected to the homicide. Balkaur’s lawyer, Satinder Pal Singh Mittal, stated that the case is presently in the chief examination phase.
During the hearing on Friday (Sep. 26) of the Sidhu Moosewala murder case at the Mansa court, the evidence of police worker Manpreet Singh was recorded, and Deepak Mundi, one of the accused, was produced in the court.
Moosewala’s father, Balkaur Singh, who was scheduled to testify, was unable to testify due to health issues and he submitted an application requesting an exemption from personal appearance.
Counsel Satinder Pal Singh Mittal, representing in the case, affirmed that Manpreet Singh’s testimony was vital to the inquiry.
The court had also ordered the appearance of the shooters connected to Moosewala’s murder, but they were not brought in due to Balkaur Singh’s absence. Other defendants were presented via video conferencing.
