Five individuals lost their lives in Ludhiana when a speeding vehicle struck a divider shortly after midnight on Sunday.

Reports indicate that one victim had their arm ripped off and another had their leg torn off.
The deceased were then taken to Civil Hospital. The deceased victims are currently unidentified, they include two minors and three young adults, all believed to be residents of Jagraon.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle, a Hyundai Verna, was en route from South City to Ladhowal when it lost control due to excessive speed resulting in the front end colliding first with the median then the rear becoming loose flipping the car upside down, continuing to drag down the highway for quite a distance.
ASI Kashmir Singh from the Ladhowal police arrived on the scene and called an ambulance provided by NHAI. The police were responsible for removing the bodies from the vehicle and bringing them to the Civil Hospital.
The police will make every effort to notify family members of the deceased victims and continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
