The finding led to the heightened inspections in and around the vulnerable regions. The family of the child quickly notified the Jammu police.

A security alert was raised when a six-year-old boy found a suspicious item in a trash heap, thinking it was a toy, which was subsequently identified as a Chinese-made telescope designed to be attached to a firearm.
The finding led to the heightened inspections in and around the vulnerable regions. The family of the child quickly notified the Jammu police.
Authorities stated that the telescope’s design included an attachment for a weapon and that it would eventually be fitted with one once all verification steps had been completed.
Officials stated that on the day that the young boy discovered the telescope, it had been left there in a location near where he lived. Authorities conducted interviews with the boy’s parents who reported to police that their son had no idea that the object existed prior to finding it in a trash bin.
Authorities quickly took possession of the device and secured the immediate area where it was found until it could be verified that it did not pose a threat to anyone.
As a result of this incident, stricter security measures were put into place in and around the Sidhra area, where the telescope was found.
