According to the police, Manraj was last seen on Wednesday around 3 pm when a relative helped him leave his uncle’s house to return home.

The body of a seven-year-old boy who went missing on Wednesday afternoon was found on Friday in an abandoned house in Jagatpura village of Tarn Taran district, Punjab, triggering fear and concern among local residents.
The child, identified as Manraj Singh, was a resident of the same village and studied in a local nursery school.
According to the police, Manraj was last seen on Wednesday around 3 pm when a relative helped him leave his uncle’s house to return home. When the child did not reach home even after several hours, his family grew worried and informed the police later that evening. A search operation was launched with the help of villagers.
On Friday, Manraj’s body was discovered in the fourth room of an unoccupied building in the village. His body was found lying on a heap of straw, while his shoes were reportedly found outside one of the rooms.
Family members have raised suspicions of foul play. The boy’s maternal aunt, Ramanpreet Kaur, alleged that the child may have been murdered and that his body was later dumped at the location. The police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Preliminary observations have raised concerns, and forensic teams have been involved to determine the exact cause of death. Police said the autopsy report will provide further clarity on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Manraj’s father, Satnam Singh, is a daily-wage labourer. Police officials stated that all possible angles are being investigated. Statements of family members and others connected to the case have been recorded as part of the investigation.
Further action will be taken based on forensic and post-mortem findings.
