After borrowing a cell phone from the migrant who lives near the well, the family was able to call the police.

Last night police were notified of a family who had been robbed in a remote part of Beas Village and taken hostage by thieves until the robbers were caught and the family’s property returned.
Reportedly, there were five to seven robbers involved in the robbery of Lakhwinder Singh, son of Shiv Singh, who resides in a field near the train tracks of Beas Village. A family member named Manpreet Singh reported that Lakhwinder was at home when he began to hear the sound of heavy banging at the back door at around 1:15 am.
He assumed that maybe one of his animals was attempting to come inside the house. When Manpreet opened the front grille to check, he was surprised to find that the robbers had forced their way into his house and had taken Lakhwinder, his wife, and son and locked them in another room at gunpoint. He stated that the robber threatened to shoot them multiple times.
The robbers looted the house for approximately 45 minutes. They systematically searched every room of the house before stealing approximately ₹100,000 in cash, ten tola of gold (over four ounces), and four cell phones.
Following up on information provided by the railway department, police recovered two of the cell phones that had been stolen by the robbers near the railway lines shortly after the incident occurred.
The robbers were also very interested in inquiry about wedding ceremony that the family hosted in the recent past and commented on the extravagant style of the ceremony and the amount of money that the family must have spent.
Where is the couple? The robbers also threatened the family after they had taken all their possessions, telling them if they reported to the police they would experience more dire consequences than the event that just happened to them.
The robbery occurred shortly before 2:15pm. After borrowing a cell phone from the migrant who lives near the well, the family was able to call the police. The family indicated that they called 100, and police arrived about 4:30pm.
DSP Rajiv Kumar from the DSP Adampur Rural, and the officer in charge of the Adampur Police Station, Ravinder Pal Singh, arrived at the incident with their police teams. The police are now beginning their investigation with expedience.
