Ludhiana Man Found Murdered, Body Stuffed in Drum and Burnt Near Jalandhar Bypass

Dead body was hidden in a plastic drum and partially burnt; police have launched an investigation.

Bhora village’s Davinder Kumar, a Ludhiana resident, was reported missing for a couple of days only to be discovered dead today morning.

His dead body was found on a vacant plot of land besides a private school bordering Jalandhar bypass. The corpse was disposed of in such a way that half of the cadaver was hidden in a plastic drum and the rest part of the body was burned to char.

Salem police have launched an inquiry into the series of happenings that occurred prior to murder and body disposal at the deserted spot. The department also sent a forensic team to carry out a probe on the ghastly crime.

Hemraj, residing in Bhora village, reported to the police on Wednesday that his cousin Davider Singh disappeared after he left home to go visit a relative at Phillaur town on Tuesday.

Davinder, employed as a computer operator in a private company in Mumbai, had just come back from the city on Tuesday at around 2.15 pm. After a short while on his return, he departed from home while informing his wife that he was going to meet a relative in Phillaur.

Some bystanders, who had inform ASI Prem Chand and other policemen about the half-filled drum discovered containing human remains, were these ones who helped them in the case of the missing report.
