B Praak faces alleged death threat and extortion call demanding ₹10 crore; Mohali Police launch investigation into the case.
Punjabi and Bollywood singer B Praak has allegedly received a death threat along with an extortion demand of ₹10 crore from a person claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
According to a complaint filed with the Mohali Police, the threat was communicated through calls and a voice message sent to Dilnoor, a close associate of the singer. On January 5, an unknown caller attempted to contact Dilnoor, but the call was missed. The following day, he received another call from an international number, which he disconnected after finding the conversation suspicious.
Later, Dilnoor received a voice message in which the caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and demanded ₹10 crore from B Praak. The message warned that if the money was not paid within a week, the singer would face serious consequences. The caller also issued threats against anyone found associated with B Praak.
Dilnoor has filed a written complaint to the Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). Police have registered the matter and launched an investigation to trace the caller and verify the authenticity of the threats.
Authorities have not yet confirmed any direct link between the caller and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
